Well the show was a rip roaring success yet again!  our Waterloo Professional fire fighters have been there for CNIB in raising over $30,000 in this event!!
We are so proud to be involved with such an amazing organization. This man in the FabFem Sandwich is Mr. Mike Noonan a very humble man with a heart of GOLD!

He has dedicated his time and efforts to making this event run smoothly.  Planning every detail and coordinating with the WFFPA ( Waterloo Fire Fighter Professional Association)
to sell tickets and tirelessly canvas to help raise money for CNIB and many other charities.  Crystal and myself were luck enough to have met Mike at the Total Woman’s show in 2009 and after meeting him
and all the amazing Fire Fighters in the WFFPA there was no doubt we would help in what ever way we could!

We gave away a FabFem Diamond Series Mega Super Model Experience.  A total of a $1495 value package for the GRAND raffle prize!
Congratulations to the lucky woman at the show that won this package.  We cannot wait to get to work with you.
The funniest part of all this is that I (Nancy) can command attention and inspire people to be themselves in front of my camera which gives us the most amazing shots.
Showing off my clients personalities and shear joy in having a real connection with their photographer… but get me on stage with some crazy lights shining in my, and well I get a little stage fright - yikes!
Hope I didn’t stutter to much folks!

Adele… girl I really don’t know how you do it… whoot hoot!

Here’s one of our most favourite morning show hosts from 91.5 The Beat Adele Newton - working the crowd in to frenzy for the WFFPA men and women fashion show volunteers.

Carlos, I do believe was being carried in by our strong and sassy women firefighters!

oh yes here is is.  Don’t get to used to that Carlos!!!

Now Adele did seem to have a hard time consentrating on here HOSTING duties…
but who could blame her!  With so many wonderful and amazingly HOTT Fire-fighters around who could blame her for sometimes getting a little lost in the view.

It really was a rip roaring good time… and yes that IS a SPICE Girl (it might even be the Chief…shhhhhhhh!)
All in all it was a fantastic night for a great cause and we are proud of our Fire Fighters, with much love and anticipation… what are doing next year crew?????

Not ones to sit back and rest - they are Fir Fighters after all?? - our Waterloo Grew was out this morning battling a monster blaze near the University of Waterloo.
We regret to  report that we have lost our Mel’s Diner and other store in that plaza.
Our prayers are with everyone who fought the blaze and for the merchants who have lost their stores in the terrible accident.

It was the cutest session ever when I got to work with Adele Newton our local 91.5 The Beat’s Morning show.  When her and Dino got to the studio with a sleeping Luca who would have ever thought the photo session that we had would be so AMAZING!!  As Dino placed little Luca to sleep on a fluffy white pillow on the studio leather couch we all quietly chatted while Adele got her make-up done by our favourite make-up artist Crystal  from Crystalized Artistry who also happens to be the other half of the exclusive prep and styling team for our FabFem (http://www.fabulousfeminine.com) .

Adele is a natural beauty and honestly, doesn’t need a stitch of makeup, but we feel it is important for everyone to know that photography make-up is necessary in order to provide our clients with the absolute best finished look for photos.  So as Crystal was finishing up Adele’s natural camera ready make-up and Dino was getting psyched  for his moment in front of the camera, little Luca is still heavily sleeping on our couch… looking exceptionally cute!

So here we are ready to rock and roll, lights are set, camera ready and my amazing family except for little man are ready and relaxed to get their photos taken.  Adele gently goes to wake up little man,  and well let’s just say, if that was me sleeping so soundly I would have been way more upset than little Luca.  Poor little guy woke up disoriented and unsure where he was.  Who can blame him, sleeping soundly in his car, then wakes up in my studio not knowing how he got there. After a few minutes though of waking up and warming up to myself and Crystal, his little personality started to come through.

He won me over in seconds!   This charismatic little man with his huge smile and loving affection for his shoes… what girl wouldn’t love a man who loves shoes too?? Once he got started this little ham ran the show.

All the while Dino was an amazing DAD!  He would do everything to try and keep Luca happy, calm & entertained.  A little quieter than his Morning Show host counterpart but just as filled with personality and charm, he along with Adele worked together to get Luca ready and laughing no time in-front of the camera.

This family was so wonderful to work with.  They have a great passion for soccer, amazing kicks and each other!

For those who don’t know…. I am a huge Ricky Martin Fan!

While I have had friends call with condolences, I fail to see where the downside is?  For what seems like decades I have had people tell me “you know he’s gay, right?” Like that has any bearing what so ever on how much he inspires me and makes me feel happy when I listen to his music.  I find it interesting how people can react when they see someone living their life the way that they want to live it.  Giving themselves the Freedom to LOVE themselves.  I find people get scared and tend to attck that which they do not understand.   I have yet to see what someones personal preference has to do with the quality of person they are … hey ,I like chocolate ice cream, does that effect the way you see me?

I am so happy and inspired once again with Ricky and his courage and strength of his convictions… It makes me feel stronger and able to carry out all of my own. I hope some how I can convey my thanks, for all the inspiration, for all the strength  and all the encouragement one soul can give another simply by just being who they are.  With lots of love and support… YEAAAAAAAAAA YOU! For those who want to see, here’s an excerpt from Ricky’s personal declaration papers!   http://rickymartinmusic.com/portal/news/news.asp?item=114532asp?item=114532   This was quoted from Ricky Martin Music.com website.  I did not write it and take no credit for it.  I simply wanted to share the inspiration with all my friends out in cyber land. Please see above link for the full letter on the official site.
